Co-development
Even at the design stage, the ITEQ Boltjes Plaatwerk' sheet-metal engineers participate in the development of a new product. This often concerns the design and dimensioning of mechanical components, structural parts from sheet metal and coverings. During these activities, the engineers use state-of-the-art 3D systems, including SolidWorks. The ITEQ Boltjes Plaatwerk engineers have wide-ranging experience in designing sheet-metal components and are able, at an early stage, to take into account the possibilities offered in the production phase. Here, often the aim is to achieve the lowest cost price.
Preparing for production
For customers that have already developed their products, ITEQ Boltjes Plaatwerk offers the possibility of preparing their sheet-metal parts for production. At this stage, each part is critically examined with respect to the production procedure and to determine whether a more efficient production method can be chosen.
Re-engineering
In many cases, re-engineering existing products, using the possibilities offered by the current production resources, often results in cost savings. For example, Boltjes is regularly asked to re-engineer welded tube frames to create frames from structurally folded sheet metal.
